Welcome to the Community Center

Celebrating 55 Years of Community. Rebuilding for the Future.

Since 1970, the Flamingo Heights Community Center has been the heart of our High Desert neighborhood. For decades, we’ve come together here—to share meals, host events, lend a hand during emergencies, and celebrate the things that make life in Flamingo Heights so unique.

Now, we’re back and better than ever. After a quiet spell, we’re rolling up our sleeves, dusting off the furniture, and reimagining what this space can become. Whether you’ve lived here for generations, just unpacked your boxes, call the area home, or simply feel a connection to this community—FHCC belongs to you.

What Happens at FHCC?

We’re planning a full calendar of events, workshops, and community programs that reflect the creative, DIY, and desert-strong spirit of Flamingo Heights.

  • We’re all about supporting local talent. Shop handmade goods, discover local artists, and meet the makers who keep our desert creative, resourceful, and vibrant.

  • From neighborhood meetings to potlucks and planning sessions, FHCC is your place to connect, speak up, and stay informed. We believe in building community through honest conversation and shared goals.

  • From backyard-style acoustic sets to dance nights and cultural showcases, FHCC brings people together to celebrate the rhythm and stories of our diverse desert community.

  • Whether you're learning to compost, make your own soap, or explore mindfulness practices, our hands-on sessions promote self-reliance, wellness, and desert-smart living.

  • Rent the center for $100 for your next party, special event, or private social gathering. Drop us a line at hello@flamingoheights.org for more information.

  • Have a community-based program, event, or workshop in mind? We’re always open to fresh ideas and new collaborations—this space is shaped by the people who use it. hello@flamingoheights.org
